is a manga artist member of Dynamic Productions. His real name is . He was born in February 13, 1958 in the city of Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture. He joined Dynamic in 1970. His debut was in 1971 with the manga ''Hyakuen Byoin'' (１００円病院) in the ''Bessatsu Shonen Magazine'' of Kodansha. He was one of the first manga artists known outside Japan thanks to his collaborations in the magazines Heavy Metal with ''Being a Guy Is All True Grit'' (''Otoko wa Dokyo'', 男は度胸), and Epic Illustrated with ''Heart and Steel'' (which is one of the first manga published in English and also probably the first manga specifically created for the US market).
